Social Worker

Marla Anderson is the School Social Worker for Prairie Point Elementary School.  She began this position in 2012.  Marla earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Creighton University and her Master’s in Social Work from UMKC.  Before working in Park Hill, she was a Substance Abuse Counselor for adolescents.   

The mission of the Park Hill School Social Worker is to respectfully collaborate with students and families by removing barriers and ensuring access to information, services, and resources, thereby promoting successful futures and enhancing well-being.  In short, Marla is here to provide support to students and their families.  There are a number of resources that exist to help Park Hill School District families.  If your family could benefit from additional resources, please fill out the Confidential Resource Checklist.  All information received and any service provided is kept strictly confidential.
