Principal: Dr. Danny Todtfeld

Dr. Todtfeld started working in Park Hill in 2017 as the assistant principal at English Landing and Prairie Point elementary schools.  He also served as the assistant principal at Hawthorn Elementary School.  Prior to his work in Park Hill, Dr. Todtfeld was an instructional coach in the Excelsior Springs School District and taught fifth grade in both Liberty Public Schools and the Ladue School District.

Dr. Todtfeld received his bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri, his master's degree in elementary administration from Northwest Missouri State University, his education specialist degree in superintendency from Northwest and his doctoral degree in education leadership from William Woods University.

Dr. Todtfeld is passionate about education but when he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family.  He enjoys spending time outside and can often be found making BBQ for family and friends.
 

Assistant Principal: Mr. Jonathan Sorens

Hello Pioneer Families!

My name is Jon Sorens, and I am thrilled to begin my journey as your Assistant Principal at Prairie Point. After more than 20 years in the classroom, I am excited for this new opportunity to serve our school community in a new way.

My goal is to be a champion for every student, ensuring that each child has the support they need to reach their fullest potential every day. I am also committed to supporting our incredible staff by providing the time, resources, and encouragement they need to inspire and educate our amazing learners.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching a variety of grade levels and subjects —including 4th grade in Kearney, 5th grade in Liberty, 6th grade math, 7th grade science, and serving as a Math Interventionist at Heritage Middle School. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the dedication and passion that educators bring to their work.

On a personal note, I am married to Laura, who is a PE/Health teacher at Liberty North. We are proud parents to Sienna and Ben, both of whom are dedicated students and athletes. When I’m not at school, you’ll likely find me cheering on my kids at their soccer games or other sporting events. Our family also loves spending time together and traveling — especially to warm, sunny beaches.
